About

This is Evan and Genna’s Blog! You are probably here because one of us told you about it  and wanted you to see how things are going. We are planning on updating this as Evan’s jaw surgery continues. Yes that’s right, JAW SURGERY. The point of this is to document his progress, our feelings and most of all keep people updated and informed. Hopefully this is will give us both an outlet and a resource to show everyone what’s up! We will both post periodically so keeping checking back for updates :] Thanks for reading!

Hello my name is Taymar Palazeti…I have read your blog and your results are amazing. I was wondering if you had Facebook, and would be willing to add me. My daughter was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate, she is six now and has undergone a few surgeries. Because her surgeon used an older technique to repair her cleft lip we have decided to go ahead with the Abbe Flap procedure. If you could offer and advice or information on how your experience was, it would mean the world to me.

    Thank you.

Hi Taymar! So glad you read evan’s blog. I’m surprised your surgeon would do an abbe flappe procedure so young. It was very hard for Evan and he is 25! Your lips have to stay closed for about 7-10 days, and there is always a chance of moving and pulling the piece left together apart. Feel free to send either of us a message on facebook (evan garcia or genna wallerstein) Evan had all the procedures so he can tell you first hand and I can tell you from a caretakers/medical point of view!
